But why not? Now we at MEV always pride ourselves on ease of build, value for money and performance. Infact QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, STYLE is our motto. BUT, nothing to stop those with enough experience, talent and deep enough pockets to take Replicar to another dimension. V8's are fitted in MX5's so they will fit in our chassis. No worries about structures due to Mazda's clever PPF and we have never heard of one of those failing.
GM supplies the Corvette lump in a box in the UK, bolt on a Corvette box and a modified shaft will get the power to the rear end via a Corvette diff. All that needs to be done is a quick mod to the subframes either end and you have a sound track from side exit exhausts that I would pay to listen to. LS3 anyone, anyone?

Ford and Cadi.rear end kits are on market now to put in Exocet and MX5.. Is the hood high enough to cover a LS intake?? Maybe dietcoke will measure from top of front sub to frame mount to top of engine and reply..

I have looked in to fitting the 2.5 V6 from the Ford Probe or Mazda MX6, again an engine that has been fitted to the MX5.

That would combine my daily road car with my project I've a v8 monaro on the drive which has the LS1 5.7 engine its quite a tall unit from sump to intake sat looking at my replicar shell it would be a tight fit. However nearly 400bhp in a replicar and that much torque would be interesting, almost cobra ac 'ish

Both most likely the corvette LS engines in the UK are expensive though compared to USA prices. But a v8 replicar would be great but I would look at a UK based v8 like Audi/Lexus maybe.
