Hi all. Im looking for a throttle pedal for my Sonic 7. I have the Willwood clutch and brake pedal box. The throttle pedal that I've seen on here was designed and supplied a while ago by Joker and looks ideal. Can anyone tell me if this is still available or maybe suggest another option please. Cheers.

Looks like I can answer my own question as Ive found out the Joker pedal is no longer available. Suppose I'm going to have to get creative

Hi Petes
Try and see Angus at Equilibrium Kit cars. He is the new distributor for the MEV Sonic7. H might be able to help. He is supplying me with new wing stays for my sonic and has been very helpful.
Cheers Andy

Hi,
Yes, we will be supplying our kits with a similar pedal and will soon be in a position to supply them as an aftermarket/retrofit option too.
Cheers, Angus

Hi casesensitive I will very probably be going for a brand new one similar to the Joker pedal. I don't know if I already have the RTR pedal (probably not) but my existing pedal is very difficult to heal and toe with and the travel is way too much with the Jenvey throttle bodies. Does the RTR pedal overcome these problems do you think?

The icon was a bit of a hint, the RTR pedal is awful, I was ripping when they sent it to me as an equivalent, see here: mevowners.proboards.com/thread/3946/rocket-st159?page=13&scrollTo=51041The Joker pedal, if he were still making them, is a beautifully made piece of kit on the other hand, well thought out and styled. Whoever is now making pedals would do well to make theirs very similar (*cough* photocopier *cough*). I imagine that changing the length of travel would be a matter of shortening the pedal or extending the other end?

If you look at this post you see what I mean, either extend the piece 'north' of the fulcrum point (or attach the throttle cable higher if that's possible on yours) to have it pull the cable further per cm of travel on the pedal (south of the fulcrum). Or extend the lower arm, move the pedal base, but then your pedals won't line up.

That pedal looks much better. The fulcrum looks to be positioned about 1/3 down the total length of the pedal (which I think is pretty standard) so will reduce pedal travel required, whereas the fulcrum on mine is at about 1/4 pedal length. I need 60mm of cable travel from idle to fully throttle. I think the available space in my car above the fulcrum should be okay and just about enough to extend it should it be necessary, but even if its not I can probably make some alterations at the throttle body end. I will very probably be getting one similar to this pedal from Angus at Equalibrium Thanks very much for you help, maybe see you at Stoneleigh. BTW I did realise you might be being sarcastic about the RTR pedal but just after I posted my reply lol
