WOW.. interesting read!
Hi mabbs enjoyed photographing your car at Curborough, fondly recall mattsmev tentatively driving - all that power - around the track.
bobmick I have to confess that I am quite taken aback by both your depth and expanse of knowledge, especially when I consider that you have only been a registered member on this forum for a week! - it's very impressive indeed - where have you been hiding?
I can only assume that you must have had a very lengthy discussion with both Paul and Liam in order to formulate such strong opinions, mind you Paul can be a very persuasive individual and I mean that in no bad way.
I could go to task and challenge much of what you've been told but not without dragging up the historic past and I'm inclined not to waste either mine or anybody else's time. Plus I might add that I'm often threatened by Paul Holmes with legal action both personally and as the creator of this forum, should I divulge or allow to be divulged, much of what I know publicly.
Simplistically, RTR (Leighton, Liam and Paul) were a great team - good bunch of guys, made some great kits. Unfortunately, for whatever reason ceased trading and subsequently struck out on their own. This forum community is branded MEV, and welcomes all those that wish to build or own a MEV.
For those that purchased a kit from RTR, (RTR built under licence MEV Designs), they are more than welcome to participate.
ESC are a new company and as has been made clear by Stuart Mills have no business ties with MEV. So other than the fact that some of the original RTR directors are now ESC directors they are treated no differently by this forum than Aerial or Westfield, so somebody might even consider starting your own ESC Owners Forum.
Anyway like BobN I too will be at Stoneleigh and would welcome the opportunity to meet, chew over the fat and do my best to answer any concerns that you may have.
