Your Safety is Paramount!
CIRCUIT RULES
Before using the circuit all participants must:
1. Sign two Indemnity forms (Venue & Organiser)
2. Provide a full driving licence
3. Be physically fit
4. Attend the Circuit Safety Briefing
5. Wear a crash helmet including visor. Arms and legs must be covered at all times (the Marshalls will refuse you and your vehicle access to the track if you or your passenger are not suitably dressed.)
No participants shall have consumed alcohol or any drugs that will impair their ability to drive.
Participants must not race or compete against any other user.
The use of timing equipment is not permitted.
Reckless or dangerous driving is expressly forbidden. Transgressors may be asked to leave.
N.B. There is no requirement to provide those emergency services that would be present at a competitive event; since no one is allowed to race against another, nor against the clock, they won't be needed!
The Circuit Safety Briefing is compulsory. This instruction will include:
1. Rules of the day
2. Entering and exiting the track
3. Driving discipline
4. Circuit layout and potentially hazardous sections
5. Breakdown/incident procedures
Curborough is a sprint circuit and is not licenced for simultaneous, multiple-car use therefore only ONE car will be allowed on the circuit at once.
In the interests of safety we request everyone to be sensible so there are as few stoppages as possible. Drivers should build up their speed as their familiarity with the circuit increases throughout the day.
Participants must ensure that their vehicle is safe and 'fit for purpose' on the circuit.
All vehicles must be silenced to a maximum noise level of 105dBa when measured at 0.5m from the tail pipe at a 45° angle at 2/3 maximum revs. Tests shall be made throughout the day by the Marshalls to ensure all vehicles conform.
The limit is substantially above that required for IVA, so anyone who has completed IVA and not modified their exhaust system since, should have no worries. If in doubt there are many free Noise Meter apps for smart phones.
Vehicles will be checked periodically throughout the day for fluid leaks. Any car found to be leaking will not be allowed on the track until the problem is rectified to the Chief Marshall's satisfaction.
Video equipment is allowed but must be securely mounted to the vehicle.
A speed limit of 5mph applies at all times in the paddock, pit lane and on all access roads.
