At last I have managed to fit the light weight flywheel (9kg to 3.9kg) you have a 2.0 pressure plate a 1.8 friction plate and a 5mm adapter between the gearbox and the engine . It all turns over ok so I'll refit the engine tomorrow and see what happens (fingers crossed)

Is it just a standard IB5 box you have with the lightened flywheel.
Been looking at fitting one of these myself and thought it was just a straight replacement along with my 1.8 clutch kit. What is the adapter plate for??

HI airforceone if you have your flywheel lightened then there is no need for the plate but if you buy a billet flywheel as I did they are designed for 2.0 engine and box so they will fit the engine but there are clearance issues with the box. So I had a 5mm plate made to kick the box out slightly (I also removed a couple of the cast webs inside the bell housing) The other option is to replace the box with a 2.0 but gear cables in different place drive shafts are different (so I was tolled) so I thought stuff that hence the adapter plate hope that helps paul
