I just noticed an MSA spec rollbar was mentioned on totalkitcar as an option, any pictures? Also how long/wide is the Exocet? Thinking about garage space which is in short supply in our house

Hi, we have not made an Exocet MSA spec bar yet, we will make them to order, it would be the same as the Rocket MSA spec bar as on most Rockets. CDS 50mm tube with a diagonal brace costing £200 extra. Exocet is 3400mm long and 1680 wide, thanx for asking. Regards Stiggy

I would definitely be interested in pictures of the exocet with a cage. If you ever build one for a customer down the road could you post pictures?

Would the MSA spec bar also include different or additional rear upright supports? The two small stanchions that connect to the shock perch do not look substantial, and would not pass tech for a time trial in the US.
Typical guidelines are: -same tubing as rollbar (>1.75in/45mm dia and .120in/3mm wall) -30deg minimum angle to vertical -as far apart as possible (> 15in/385mm) -diagonal is continuous -harness bar is split where it crosses diagonal
The Rocket rear supports look appropriate.
What is the wall thickness on the 50mm tube?

It is CDS tube @48.3 with a 3mm wall. Cost is an extra £350 if ordered with the kit. Attachments:

Hi Stiggy, The MSA roll bar option looks to have changed the rear structure of the chassis?

Well spotted! We have changed it a little from chassis number 43 onwards to accomodate the MSA spec roll bar option.

The MSA configuration looks like it is no longer integral with the main chassis beams, but is placed adjacent to them.
What does it sit on at the bottom? Hard to see in that pic but it looks like its welded to a gusset plate in the corner of the floor?
Was this arrangement somehow mandated by the MSA specifications?

Its bolted to the floor on to the chassis rail corner plate and half way up at the centre rail plate and then at the end of the rear stays. 10 x 12mm bolts in total.
