Second tank in tonight. One return pipe fitted and went in ok. Just need to do the other one then fill up and check for leaks. Quite a few jobs coming to light which I want to do. Re routing stuff etc etc. Hopefully try and finish it all off this weekend.

Hi Adam, quick question, is your floor carbon fibre or alloy with a wrap on it?

I cheated mate it's the alloy that came in the kit (that's if you got it in the kit ) covered in carbon look wrap.

It's all good Adam, exactly what I'm going to do as well!! Just wanted to see if anybody had gone to the effort (and what appears to be considerable expense!) of actually using carbon.

Only thing I would recommend is putting a heel plate where the pedals are. One to protect the floor plus I found the pedals quite high so lifting my heels slightly helped.

Both tanks now fully bolted in, Plumbed in,Seats back in and filled with fuel Fuel sender works perfectly. There's no leaks and they fit perfect with the seats. So really happy with them. Big thanks for sve to building exactly to my design and for the quick turn around. I have adjusted the position of the fuel pump as always thought is was a bit noisy. Thanks to kevs advice it's a lot quieter now. So thanks kev Just need to finish off tidying the back end up now and it's back on the road.

Spent an hour or so tidying up the rear end now the tanks are out. Managed to cut the clutch hose to length too and tidy up and secure all the wiring. Still want to do more in the respect of making it look better but it's road worthy now. Will sort the looks during the winter. Just the hydraulics to bleed and I'm all done. Hopefully the clutch will be sorted and then she's back on the road

Love the nice neat fit of your new high capacity fuel tanks forward of the rear bulk head behind the seats @adam but was wondering whether it would be worth considering adding a stainless steel strap high up to prevent the tank from rocking and potential fatigue cracks from possibly developing in the tanks securing feet due to the acceleration/deceleration loads of such an extreme machine, just a thought.

I did consider this due to my original tanks in the original location failing due to the additional weight. The tanks have double sided high strength tape on the back of them and are stuck to the read panel, along with the 3 bolts holding them at low level. I can report back now that they are solid even when full of fuel. So all good.
