I had thought about crinkle paint or turned aluminium but I quite like the matt black finish so I will leave it as it is for the moment. The dash was easy enough to wire in, I had to get a pressure transducer from the states for the oil pressure and needed a resistor in the fuel guage wiring to get the fuel level correct. The USB connector is for a sat nav. Still undecided on finish for my dash (getting a bit ahead of myself I know) but Id like the rolled top to be deeper which would then allow me to plant some turned ali on the face.

Nice clean looking build.. Was the wife surprised when she got home to see it body on.. Like the last pic it should be in Stuarts build and ad guide as it shows what it looks like with doors and boot not on and and space around same.. Are you going to put in some inner fenders liners and line the boot..

Thanks gwnwar, yes she was a bit surprised but also relieved she wouldn't have to cook a huge pan of chilli for everyone when they came round.
I'm not planning to line the boot or put wheel arch liners on, at least not until after it's passed the IVA and is on the road.

Looks excellent. Radiuses on filler cap and mirrors alright?
Where did you get the wheels?

Light height should be fine, I've not got a lot of fuel in it but the lights are at 41 cms so I've git 6 cams spare,
Fuel cap should be low enough to be exempt mirrors seem ok.
Wheels are from a Vauxhall. Bit of silver paint and some Dunlop stickers off eBay.

I've got non standard tyres on 195/75/15 which gives me a lot more ground clearance. As I've changes the speedo to a programmable one this won't cause me any problems for the IVA (hopefully).

Yes, thanks Kiwi, I've been through the list and should be ok on all the points Stuart has posted. I've also booked it in for a MOT the week before just so I can bed the brakes in, get the emissions checked and check the headlight alignment.

that looks great, love the wheels and tall tyres, like the fog light details, front grille and the side strakes. Minor thing, if you cut a hole for the front indicators slightly smaller than the rubber body you can lower it down so it is pinched in the middle.
I have passed with those wing mirrors, not quite radius-ed to 2.5 mm but he let me off.
