Welcome to the forum. The grills look good, how did you make them?

Hi, I just cut the mesh to size and trimmed in 5x3mm chrome trim I bought from eBay. I think CBS also sell the same trim. I've just got to work out how to fix them, I'm thinking either small button headed screws through the edge or PU adhesive.

I like the chrome think it will look good with the headlamps and an egg crate grill.. Maybe tabs glued on back of grill and slipped over body opening and just one button head to hold on. Put one of the tabs were the trim ends meets and glue trim to it on back side to hold ends together.. Great looking good job..

Welcome to the group, on the tab idea, and i know it means making again but could the mesh be cut with three 'ears' that can be bent back (behind the chrome ring and whilst being offered in position)and then bent forward? Dont know how much spring there is in the mesh but assuming its fairly stiff this would then hold the covers in place.
Quick question, what seam sealer have you used?

I'm not really looking at the body yet, I was just discussing the fog light covers with Stewart and he asked me to post it on here. For seam sealer I'm using PU can't remember which make off the top of my head. I might try your ear idea as they did only take 10 mins to make.

Had a quick look - they've slashed the RRP of £339.95 by 0%: very generous!! Seriously, they mention the bezel as being IVA friendly, but are the digital gauges? Stiggy ?

I'm very tempted as it will replace the whole Mx5 instrument cluster (apart from the warning lights) with one unit. All I need is a idiots guide to the instrument cluster wiring before I'll be happy to cut the plugs apart. I've had a look on the mellens site but it isn't very clear to me.

Hi all, Just a quick update, in the last few months I've managed to get a drivable chassis. I've spent the last 2 weeks stripping the wiring loom out: I've removed the ABS, aircon, airbags, stereo, wash/wipe, rear demist, heated seats, alarm, electric Windows/mirrors, central locking and that's about it. Anyway here is a photo of the wire I've removed.

Not a big deal now but if you are going to drive on those front tires they are on the wrong side need to be switched L>R V going forward..
