Hello, new to the forum and thought you might be interested in my recently completed Exocet. When I acquired the car it was, to be quite honest, a mess. It need a complete clutch/flywheel replacement, all new wiring, the suspension and alignment set-up on the car was non-existent and need to be completely re-done and the body work was a disaster, all this from two previous owners that either did not have the know-how or the patience to do the job right? After everything was put right I had all of the bodywork professionally covered in 3M carbon Fiber vinyl, the suspension has been professionally set-up and aligned for street and track use and the car is licensed and titled in MN, that's right, LICENSED, TITLED AND STREET LEGAL!
There is a pretty extensive list of upgrades, both cosmetic and more importantly performance related that have been done/added to the car and I can't wait until the weather cooperates enough here in Northern MN to get it out on the road and then to the nearby track (Brainerd International Raceway) for a track day session.
I'm a little confused ... by "car", was your acquisition an Exocet in a less than sorted condition, or do you describe what condition your donor was in?
US Exocet #110

There's a thread on notices and admin/how to use this forum but basically you wrap the image url in img tags.

The Exocet was a disaster when I got it, but it was a great northern MN winter project!
Apologies, I thought I was fairly computer savvy but I do not know what that means ( wrap the image url in img tags) I have usually simply uploaded images from my photo files.
Check out the instructions in that thread, there's no point me re-writing them. Basically the forum doesn't host the photos you use photobucket or something else to do that and just tell the forum where the photo to show is.

US or UK spec? Serial number if US is? This is "new stuff", as I had not heard of a build gone really bad so far.
#270013, the list of things I had to repair or re-do is long; clutch/flywheel. wiring, suspension/alignment, body-work, fuel tank (leak due to owner inflicted modifications), missing tie rod bolt! All wheel nuts were loose and the body attachments consisted of rubber O-rings on the bottom of the nose.
I suppose much of this could be considered normal when purchasing a car in an un-completed state, I was told that the car was completed and ready to be licensed, buyer beware I guess.
Saw it E-bay listed; transferred the car from trailer to trailer in a the rain and drove it home in a snow storm or I would have looked it over more carefully, unfortunately I trusted the owner that the car had been built to a very high standard and was complete except for the registration. It's better now that I have had all winter and spring to go through it, hope to have it on the road in the next week or two.
