Hi, I sold my busa powered MK Indy R back in September 2013 when I bought my first house but I'm now in a position when I can get another, I always wanted my next kit to be an MEV and currently thinking I want it to be a tr1ke! I wanted to avoid building one as I have a lot on but I know they don't come up very often and because I can't afford factory built I may end up doing so. whats the build time like on a tr1ke I'm guessing less work than my indy due to being chain driven and less bodywork? what was your OTR price after MSVA? i presume because it's an MSVA is bike tax and no front licence plate it required? what's the handling characteristics like especially in regards to oversteer? My indy was very predictably and controllable but I could Imagine the tr1ke being quite snappy? look forward to hearing from some owners thanks

I'm afraid RTR, the company that make the trike no longer operate so you may struggle to by a kit.
You may be better looking at buying a second hand kit and tweaking that.

Sad times! Hopefully someone will buy the rights to the cars though fingers crossed.
Still would like to know more about the tr1ke though as I would still like to buy one of I see one come up for sale anywhere.

Afternoon,
My build thread is spread over a few months, but this was due to a pause in building, experience, lack of the right gear and knowledge. The official build guide says 80-100 hours depending on experience.
Cost of ownership seems cheap, £70 tax, about £200 fully comp insurance and the fuel you burn! Mind you, as I'm sure you'll know, there's always something more shiny out there to buy and add.
Haven't pushed the handling to the limits yet but it puts a big grin on my face every time I take it out. The power delivery through the revs has you muttering the odd expletive the first time you experience it. Although having something Busa powered you must have been there already.
No issues with handling as yet and I don't even notice I'm on three wheels. I suppose there has to be a limit to the power you can put down coming out of a corner (like everything) but the videos I've seen on Youtube suggest you make that up on braking as the TR1ke's so light. Others will know better than me.
There's got to be some part built kits out there. Hope you get one, there's not much around like it.
Cheers, Richard.

The Tr1ke is still around as well as many of the others. These great kits dont deserve to disappear so I would advise to go here www.exosportscars.co.uk/sve_tr1ke.htmlI hope the business of both great(from my experience) seperate companies of MEV ltd and Exosportscars find their way in both the UK and again to us on the european continent! Please stuart get the Rocket (and sonic) out of dust very soon as I will have to change my avatar
