So got the wiring loom loose fitted and it turns over fine. Primed fuel system doing relay loop and can see fuel through new filter fine. Checked plugs and they are sparking fine but it just won't fire.
Any thoughts on a process of elimination list?

not clear what you mean by "doing relay loop" If you have a spark and fuel then you are close. How about the fuel rail, is it pressurised? Is fuel going in the right end i.e the opposite end to the fuel pressure regulator?

Firing order? Are the are the plug wires on the correct coil/plug? Crank angle sensor could also possibly be out of adjustment. Just my first two thoughts.

Plug wires are correct. I'm sure I put the crank sensor but on as it came off but how best to check this?
How best to check the fuel rail is pressurised?
Thanks

Not sure on the NA but on the NB you just loosen the bolt holding it and adjust it to .5mm-1.5mm (if memory serves) gap between the sensor and one of the 4 projections on the plate behind the crank pulley.
Also did you change the timing belt?

Compression?

Before checking pressure, make sure you have the fuel lines hooked-up correctly. Trace you fuel lines from the tank to the rail. On the NA the line from the pump goes to the front of the rail, the return line is connected to the pressure regulator. You may need to lift the pump out of the tank to verify which one is the pump and which is the return. I have seen two 1992's with different setups.

Every tank unit I have seen the center most tube on fuel pump plate is the supply.. what year is your donor.. What type filter do you have that you can see into..Is it made for high pressure systems or low pressure carb like system.. Should be high pressure.. If you have a 2 line fuel system the supply goes to the front of the fuel rail.. When you say jump relay do you mean jump FP and Grd in Dia. box..

The fuel filter I have fitted in line is www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/fuel-filter-glass-chrome-with-8mm-hose-tails. It doesn't say this is high or low pressure anywhere? I can see its getting filled with fuel after doing the FP and Grd jump so assume its on the right line. I know its directional and checked that. Going to have to check the plugs to see if they are getting fuel on them but don't think they are? Maybe the MSPNP is not telling the injectors correctly? Cheers

From cbs hard copy catalogue just above that product:
All the fuel filters below are ideal for carburettor systems or as a low pressure pre-filter in fuel injection systems.
In short I don't believe it's suitable, sorry.

Just stuck in old filter off donor and primed. Still nothing. What's the easiest way to check fuel to injectors?

Take them out and put them in a jar to catch the fuel?

Did the car run with the megasquirt before you took it apart? If the mega squirt is new then I would try the stock ECU and see if the megasquirt is your problem.

Don't use that filter.. What line on the fuel rail does the supply/filtered tube supply the front or rear of the rail.. Should be the front.. To check pressure put a gauge on supply line at rail.. If using a T fitting on gauge plug the out side. jump FP and Grd you should see 64-85 psi. Have you tryed to start with FP and Grd. jumped.. When trying to start can you hear the injectors clicking with a long screwdriver on injector and your ear.. What year is donor. Are all ground wires in place and checked with OHM meter wire to frame not just the bolt holding it to frame.. Was any work done to engine from running in donor till now..
