There are three different ways to make a post on this Forum 'Quick Reply', 'Reply' and 'Quote'.
The fastest and easiest way to respond to someone else's post is to use the Quick Reply function, simply type your message in the white box below and then click on the 'Quick Reply' button (see screen shot below, click on it to see it full size)
However, this can be quite a bland method of posting and can be a little restrictive, sometimes, in getting your message across.
The second way is to use the fully featured 'Reply' button marked in blue to the right of the 'Quick Reply' button in red.
This method of posting provides full editorial control of your post, from font size through to image and movie linkage etc. Smileys can also be added as a way of giving emotion to your post.
As you construct your post you can view it in either 'BBCode' or 'Preview' mode. The less computer-savvy may find it better to select preview from the outset. Those constructing their post in BBCode can switch to preview mode to view what will actually appear on the forum.
Note:- If you start by using the 'Quick Post' method and find halfway through that you wish to add a picture, smiley or other feature, then you can click on the 'Reply' button and access those features without losing your part-compiled post.
The Third way is to use the 'Quote' button found in the top right hand corner. This allows you to capture another Member's post that may have been made earlier in the thread to which you may wish to respond and/or remark upon. You can also, by editing within the quote, draw attention to a sentence or remark to which you may wish to respond.
