A helpful tip I picked up from another build. I used a set of m10 anti vibration mounts for a pressure washer. Search e bay item 281280860449 They lift the tank enough to clear the subframe and isolate from vibration.

I mounted the tank in the standard way, but the tank sat at a slight angle with the buldged end of the tank raised to miss the subframe. I also welded on 4 1/2” diameter stubs of pipe to sit the tank on and bolt through, another reason to get your chassis delivered unpainted and do a dry build first.
personally, I would be a bit wary of using 15mm copper pipe, a full tank of fuel and the tank itself weigh a fair bit sloshing around.

Presumably a standard rectangular drip/heat 'tray' could be fabricated and fitted part way up the tank's spacers so as to lift it off the subframe and remove the complexity.

There is a limit to how far the tray/tank combo can be raised before it fouls on the wheely bin.

I'm going down the route of keeping the tank the normal way round and raising the front to clear the subframe. It looks around 40mm but will raise around 30mm then use HT M10 bolts and nuts to be able to adjust just enough to clear the tank but not contact the boot lid..thats the plan anyway.
