Thinking about the Tr1ke. Wondering about using the vehicle in rain. How hard is it to weatherproof the electronics and electrics? How much water collects in the floor area? Do the seats drain? I've got rain gear for my motorcycle but sitting in water is likely to finally work its way thru the gear.

I have been asking myself the same question. Drilling holes on tactical places should drain the water. And sensitive electronics should be placed as high as possible and covered from direct spraying.

When I asked the question back in Aug. I knew nothing about kit cars and trikes.
Since then I've discovered that if you want it a certain way then you build it that way!
I was under the impression that it was, like, complete with absolutely everything needed to put it together. In fact there are lots of things that you supply and that's how it gets made to your unique specifications.......weatherproof in my case.

I am considering to add the snorkel-option, when ordering the car.

Don't forget the Scuba gear......it can be hard to hold your breath long enough to ford some rivers ;D

Most of the electrics are bike electrics so totally waterproof, the rest of the wiring can be kept out of harms way under the bonnet.
Drilling holes in the seats allows them to drain but having now driven the tR1ke in pouring rain, I didn't actually get wet at all until I was stationary.
A Belstaff Dri Bika suit kept me remarkably dry and there are many similar suits available that fold up into a small bag when not in use.
The tR1ke is a lot more practical than you would think and if you really need tempting then read the January edition of Kit Car (out on Monday) as there is a 6 page article about the tR1ke contained therewithin.
