Thanks, if the plates start to work lose after some driving then ill install some rivnuts instead. Ill have to keep an eye one them after its complete and i first start to drive it, hmm, that seems moment seems a long way off yet... I installed the plates, the bolts seemed to hold a decent amount of toque with no sign of starting to strip so i might be ok. I also sealed and bonded them to the tube with PU adhesive, trying to get a neat finish behind the plate. and the finished job: Im going to get the Vibra Technics engine mounts for the gearbox and torque-link, I already have the one for the timing chain cover side because the oem one wouldn't fit under the diagonal roll bar. In an earlier post i mentioned about the inlet manifold being really close to the chassis tube, that coupled with there being no flexi pipe in the exhaust manifold made me realise it will be for the best.

There is a full set on eBay at the moment for what appears to be a good price, you could always sell the spare on.

I have a pipe with a sport cat in it, whichever one RTR normally supply as they made the full system for me. (both pipes are more or less exactly the same shape bar the cat, so it should fit just as good) I am going to run it with the de-cat pipe when i eventually fire it up for the first time so i can safely recalibrate my ECU for the new exhaust and cat. This way i avoid any risk of damaging the new cat with incorrect mixture. The Engine was running on a MegaSquirt ECU when it came out of the Puma (and will be still) , it was calibrated for no cat and with the original exhaust manifold. I have a wideband lambda sensor installed so that the ECU can effectively map itself using datalogging software and feeding the results back into the base tables.

The set listed at 275 currently? that's only slightly more then the cost of the 2 that i need, and yes and could sell the one i dont need, just hope the bidding doesn't go daft, thanks!

The handbrake from the puma is a bit plasticy, and flimsy, so i bought this cheap of fleabay a while back: Its from a 2009 Focus MK2 RS, its just a bit too wide to mount it centrally, so i need to cut it, weld it back together and shorten the shaft so the base is then 3.5cm narrower, thats the minimum it will go to. There is just a metal bush on the shaft so it can be anywhere along the length of it. Here is where im going to cut some metal out of it, hopefully get around to sorting it this week some time:

For what it's worth, I broke my spare 1.7 puma, selling bits and bobs here and there locally. Here's the output of that. Headlights would be worth a few quid too, I used mine for my daily driver, which had a little prang. Ended up crushing most of the body and a lot of interior trim. All in europes. €363 all together, giving me an engine and the crash bits for €12 :-)

It is, guess ford swapped sides for the duratec from the 2.0 zetec. Not unheard of, the 1.4 & 1.6 zetec are the same as this, opposite to the 1.8 & 2.0 zetecs.

The original engine went went smoky years ago so that why the duratec went in. I have loads of good bit left on it that i haven't sold yet. 280mm front brake setup (rear brakes where ST170 which are now on the rocket), coilovers, powerflex bushes, bucket seats (but they dont fit in the rocket, too wide) and stainless exhaust. After removing the fuel pump assembly I cut the top half off the fuel tank (after a week of vapour evaporation first...) and turned it into a fire pit for camping trips.

Well its been a long time since my last post, not much has progressed, mainly due to moving house and having lots of DIY tasks to sort out. What i have done since the last post in roughly this order: Added some stainless steel washers on top of the bump stop on the front dampers to restrict to travel to prevent ball joint lockout on full bump. (discovered the lockout after checking the suspension travel) see my thread here: mevowners.proboards.com/thread/6985/top-ball-joint-lockoutModified and Fitted Handbrake from a Focus Mk2 RS/ST Fitted handbrake cable so i now have a working handbrake. Fitted all of the brakes discs, calipers and Hydraulics so i now have a working brake pedal! Fitted Driver and Passenger seat and got the car on the ground Towed the car round to the new house (was only a few very quiet dead-end side streets away, about 500 yards) Found that the brakes work well! Here are some photos of interest: These are the very nice looking seats that i had made to order by J K Composites last year: www.jkcomposites.com/They have mounting points for either base or side mounts based on pretty standard mounting hole patterns. They are nice and rigid unlike other seats i have seen, very comfortable too even with the minimal padding. The base is nice and narrow so easily fits in the tub of the Rocket with enough room to use some side mounting brackets. They have a double shell construction to provide the rigidity: I provided the same colour code for the gel coating that was used on the panels (Signal Red) for an exact colour match

Hey,
I have built a new website for JK composites, these seats are unique and would look great on their website. With your permission could I use these images for the JK Composites gallery page?
I so then can you please email JK Composites and I will get the email from them.
Many thanks.
