Basically, I would like to see a new breed of TR1KE, not just bigger engines, I'm basically getting at the T-REX look without the price tag.
I would be interested in building another one, if it could look along the lines of a T-REX,
Are there any plans to make a different TRIKE? Or am I dreaming?

I like the T-Rex too. I met a guy at Donnington car show in August who said he is introducing a brand new Trike design and will probably be showing it at Stoneleigh next year. He gave me no details though and the price tag will be interesting.

Millsy to the rescue! Nick, we need you back in a MEV mate, what if you ordered a tR1ke with a Mevabusa nose and screen/roof bars as per the Exocet XS, then add a couple of panniers and you have a realistically priced T-Rex. Even add a flat laminated screen if you wish and a roof panel or have a soft top made. It's all possible. Kit cars are made in a manner that encourages builders to put their own mark on them, I have never seen a pair of MEV's yet. If you need a more "chiselled" nose then the Mevabusa nose can always be cut and shut and body filler added. Now you have shown us your trailer making skills already so I know this project is within your skill set. Ask RTR for a cracking deal as you will open the market up for them. You will be developing a tR1ke for all weathers, just a little polycarbonate sheet required on the sides, job done.

I see that I will most likely be back building another TR1KE, because I know I will never find the performance I want, from any other vehicle I can afford. It won't be for a while because this time I intend to buy all the stuff with cash not the never never ending Credit Card :-)
I don't need to power it with anything more than 1000cc, this was ample for me, I will however be looking to fit a V-Twin engine instead of the R1 lump, purely because I love the rumble of a V-Twin. Hopefully RTR can accommodate the V-Twin Honda VTR within the frame, and make the swingarm suit too?
Might have to look into some bits n bobs bodywork wise, really fancy a roofed version with windscreen, meaning when cruising on the motorway I don't need to use my helmet anymore, Surely if the frame is being made at RTR, they can look at making the frame come up like the XS, but more of a sweeping angle, very much like the T-REX, And then hopefully the nosecone can be made to fit around the pillars?
This next build (Should I choose to do this again) will be a much longer build, making sure that everything is tip top before bringing for MSVA. It might take me a year instead of 6 months, and might need several mods to the chassis and body before being powder coated.
I will discuss this with you all at Stoneleigh 2015 all being well.
Cheers
Nick

t-rex is good but I like the areo 3 body that fits onto it.There are a couple of replica manufacturers in US. I have been in touch with them about sending one across, but postage and import duty makes it quite pricey.

I'm pricing up air freight as my brother flys 747 400 for BA.

I think the launch and sales speak for themselves that the TR1KE is a great vehicle, looking at the competition,
Razor: Nice but too much bodywork for me, more like a car.
Grinnall: Not much to say about cornering so not even in the running.
T-Rex: Very nice, very expensive.
The market is crying out for a T-Rex look TR1KE, with its chiselled nose, to its windscreen, and rear engine bay cover with built in spoiler.
I personally think the power from 1000cc is plenty enough, the only thing you are changing is the frame and fabricating a new nose, and rear tidy cowling.
I see how popular the TR1KE scene is.
Surely RTR and MEV could corner the market with the new look.
Nobody in the UK makes a T-Rex type trike, but a lot of people in Canada make a number of copied versions.
Come on Mr Mills, you have the technology to create the ultimate toy.
I understand this will cost more money, but not that much more, and what else are you doing with your time :-)

This is the T-Rex chassis. The blue lines are suggestions to alter the look, and add much needed bracing support to the floor, removing any lawsuit as this is not a copy of the chassis. I merely think that the front section angles of the frame can be mated to the existing chassis of the TR1KE, and of course a new nosecone will be needed, and could maybe be made to remove in a similar fashion. The rear could benefit of some way of covering the engine bay to tidy up the number of wires and workings on the bike engine, and to incorporate a tidy neat flick spoiler. if you build it they (as in me) will come :-) You have the power to make this so... Surely I am not the only TR1KER wanting a bit of weather protection? As far as side cowlings are concerned, yes a bit of alloy or even fibreglass panels are needed, or nothing as it never bothered me before. I won't have enough money to be looking to buy one for maybe 4 years Mr Mills and Mr Holmes :-) You've got 4 years to make this dream a reality. Make it so :-D
