The date that was suggested by Bobn was Friday 19th June. Hope in doesn't clash with your annual charity bike ride.

Hi Andy
I have spoken to some of my biker mates and we are prepared to spend an extra day in Scotland and head back on Monday just so that we can squeeze in Applecross since we are already in Scotland.
Any chance you can revise the route/schedule to include it with an option for others who want to return on Sunday to break out at a convenient point (this sounds complicated to do though)?
I will then research accommodation options and towns we intend to stay by and then create a specific Scotland Roadtrip thread to co-ordinate that trip.
Thanks for all the help, its better than what I came up with. Bob

Hi Andy
Route to me looks good.
Some hotels I have found. Since some of us from south are sharing a room to split the costs I have looked at double rooms for us (therefore per person under £150 for 3 nights). Do the locations look ok i.e. the town where we aim to stop near each night?
Of course if people are not going to split the cost due to going with missus or family etc. it works out a bit pricy therefore they may want to look at more options. I am still looking for more accommodation options in the lower price range.
The Inn on Loch Lomond, Argyll, Luss, G83 8PD, United Kingdom (Room for 2 = £114)
Kyle Hotel, Main Street, Kyle of Lochalsh, IV40 8AB, United Kingdom (Room for 2 = £115)
Premier Inn Falkirk (Larbert), Glenbervie Business Park, Bellsd**e Road, Larbert, FK5 4RX, (Room for 2 = £67)
Will look to book rooms by Jan with a cancellation policy.
Bob

Hi sandancer73 & freshp5
Will be good to see you all on the road trip. What route would you prefer to go on, the one day route or the two day route up to Applecross.

Hi Dave
The run up to Applecross will be good. It's a place that I have never been but always wanted to go.
After the new year if we could get some numbers of intrested members we can see about B&B or camp sites on the route.

I will want to do both days if there's enough wanting to do so, the other thing I think we don't want to be too far from is fuel stations though i'll be carrying extra just in case.

Hi Kevin
Will keep that in mind. What sort of miles do you get from a tank of fuel.
Cheers Andy

Hi Andy,
Don't know yet with the new motor but the tank holds 24L so should be good for 120 miles plus the 5L reserve tank if its needed.
