"Don't care what you say, mate, you'll fail an IVA with those headlights." "That wasn't bad, but wait 'til I get Nitrous in my Exocet." "Wadja mean I gotta wear a hat?" "Where d'you get those barcode things? I could do with a couple." "The port for the bass speaker's pretty obvious but where have you hidden the CD player?" "You tell your boss I came up with this idea years ago!"

Who's been stalking me then? You can't go anywhere these days. I was at a track when some guys noticed my XS jacket and invited me to drive their hired car. I had fun, it was wet, the car had good pick up but.....
edit due to full report being written to be published soon.

Interesting report Stuart, I've only ever driven a Atom once and like you it was on a track, all be it in the dry, found it to be quite hard and also surprisingly heavy at the controls also, 'it had no finesse', hadn't noticed the collapsible boss issue though. While it griped well, when it did go you had to be very very quick to catch it, mind you that maybe me. I'm no Lewis Hamilton after all. nigel

Reading this not sure if its warranted criticism or slaging of another product especially after the owner took time out of his track day to let you drive it sure he would be well chuffed to read your feed back

Mine was a 'Atom Experience Day' that my good lady treated me to as a birthday present, so I don't know who owned the car, but I enjoyed it very much
Nice to try something to compare my sonic with, especially as the Atom is viewed by many as the "Market Leader"

(Just had a thought, have any Rocket owner/drivers tried out an Atom and how dose it compare?)

Not quite an answer but going off the stats in the 750MC Sport Specials, there wasn't a lot of difference in laptimes between Nick Holden (Atom Cup) and Patrick Mortell (Rogue Xenon[Rocket]), though the Atom was consistently a second (or so) a lap ahead.

Interesting John... Though I don't know which is the better driver. What I'd be interested in, is from say a Rocket owner who has driven a Atom, putting aside spec's / power, how did the experience compare / feel?
I drove RTR's Xenon last year a Curborough, while I found it very planted the position / length of the peddles made, for me at least, it very difficult to drive.

That car is now actually IVA'd and road legal. Pedals have been replaced for full sized ones. The short ones were awful although the racers seemed to like them for some reason.

Rob Hawkins of Kit Car magazine has just approved my Atom experience full report, his email below; I'm intending to publish the Atom test drive in the December issue, which will be in the shops during the first week of December. Or, the magazine can be bought online via our website: www.kit-cars.com
