Come on you rowdy lot. Get your arses in gear and get paid up for Curborough. Its the best social track day you will do. And it's only £40 for a day of antics on the track. Bring a helmet and sensible clothing and maybe get a ride out in something truly ridiculous.
Sensible clothing is this.
Long sleeved shirt Long trousers Trainers Helmet
No flip flops No t-shirts or shorts on track
Get that money paid.

Was it really necessary to post this in every section??
I think we all know when it is, a General post would have covered it..

.....you say that Ned, but I know where Nick is coming from! This has to date always been a great and safe day / event, loads of fun for those of us there, and yet perhaps not as well supported as you might expect. People access the forum in different ways, and a blanket approach like Nick's does mean that no one can escape . And also you must take into account that Nick is getting over-excited (....pretty much standard ) and just can't contain himself . Martin

This date is just a major PITA for myself, and I said it from the date of announcement. Everytime I cover my a$$ in one way or another, something else crops up... So far.. I may be booking this weekend. But, I need to sort some family stuff like babysitters etc, 3 weeks in advance. If they will do it.. Im there. I am surprised there is no RTR listed as attending as yet, and I do have my own concerns regards to the event website listing 1/4 mile runs? Theres NO room for this at all, and would be pure lunacy in my car, let alone tR1kes, and high powered rockets. 0-60 would be reasonable. The track now being a figure of 8 will provide a nice twist, but may limit me to 1-2nd gear only now. 3rd if im lucky. However... This is my own problem lol. And Im looking forward to the testing of my gearchange system on the day

Exactly what I meant, not really necessary..
Nothing to do with being a misery, just getting a bit bored of having to trawl through posts that aren't put in the correct sections.
But as it appears that I'm in the minority, please carry on..

And Im looking forward to the testing of my gearchange system on the day Surely you should be attending every meet and track day as tax deductible promotional expense and as such also be exempt from family requirements. No not at all. I just don't get why people wait until the day of the track day to turn up and pay. Or people have a go at me for multi blogging all the sections of the forum to promote the best priced track event.

Yay.. Booked and £40 lighter! Its cost more in flowers and babysitters.. but.. its a trackday Going to travel down Friday night, and camp over. Been 14 years since I last set my tent up, and tested it yesterday.. Still as good as new. Doesn't smell that much. Not sure if the "miserable" comment was aimed at myself as well in the above posts... but family comes first over a car any day, and I had to sort the loose ends first. I shall thoroughly enjoy the day, and seeing some bonkers vehicles circling the track. See you there Anybody travelling down Friday evening from the NW, drop me a message, and we can convoy up!

Absolutely not Steve. Just some people wait until the last minute to come based on the weather and for the organisers that's not really acceptable as they have to pay upfront and any shortfall is costing our organisers money. And all these kits that have been sold and yet we can't even scrape 30 vehicles together. It just so happened that the guy who had a hissy fit about me blogging the forum was a rocket owner.
