If I got a quote as low as £300 (equivalent) I'd take his hand off through the phone for it!
No idea yet if it'll go on the road, but it'll be at least €600-900 a year (35, no points, 5 yrs ncb).

Wow I just insured my Rocket with A Flux. Albeit with 2.2 Honda Type R engine which is about 215 - 220 bhp. but my policy is £435 a year. I'm 43, clean licence, live in a nice village with no crime (at all) I've never had a claim or an accident. WTF? why is mine so much more expensive?

When I moved to a nice small village, out of a town, my insurance went up significantly. Apparently it's the calibre of vehicles that are around, mean that IF I do have an accident, the impact (cost of repair to them etc) will be higher. So whilst the risk had gone down, the consequence of the risk had increased that more than compensated for the reduction in risk...
May be you just have richer neighbours than the rest of us ;-P

May be you just have richer neighbours than the rest of us ;-P I am the only one in the village who doesn't have a couple of brand new Range Rovers and a Jag XF. But Deano just showed me his renewal, it's about £250 less than mine. That's just rediculous. They also told me if I park my Rocket up ANYWHERE leaving it unattended it's not insured. It is only insured whilst in my garage or while I'm actually driving it. Needles to say I cancelled it as soon as it was registered and added my Rocket to my car traders insurance policy.
