Maybe I'm just a little thick or are struggling with the booking format and understanding what's on offer, anyway I've just had confirmed and I think it's worthy to let everyone know. If you've booked a track session as a driver, attended the safety track briefing, signed your indemnity and got your wrist band you can go out on circuit as a passenger as many times as you can hitch a ride! If your not a driver but just a spectator, on the day if you pay £5 register by signing the indemnity get a wrist band you to can go out on circuit as a passenger as many times as you can hitch a ride as well. Now I for one think this is excellent value. nigel

On the subject of costs... and yes I'm bound to be biased but... How much would it cost for the following?
Entrance to the show Display on premium paddock pitch with MOG 2 nights camping An additional adult admission ticket A hot meal and a pint on Friday night 15 mins driving as fast as you like on one of the UKs fastest racing circuits, in an exclusive session 10 mins karting Live music on the Sat night A bloody good weekend with like minded enthusiasts
....£60
To me that's not bad value. The wife and I had a meal at TGI Fridays recently which cost more than £60. And it was crap! Come on Moggers, I'm really looking forward to meeting you all and having a bloody good weekend so support this show to make sure it's a good one and runs for many years to come!

I don't think anyone said it was expensive? However not being use to Castle Combes Action Days the pricing format at first sight appears very complex, especially to what we're use to. Might I therefore suggest that you post a few general examples of bookings so that we can better understand what we need to book and how much it will cost. nigel

What time do we have to get there on the Friday eve to take advantage of meal + pint offer. Thanks Kev You'll be able to get in and set up camp from 5pm and I think the Tavern will serve food up to about 9pm. I'll check with them next week and let you know.

I confess our booking system is not the best! As far as admission is concerned you can get in free either by being part of the club stand and registering via the club form (post/email only) or as an individual by 'purchasing' a pre registration free admission online. If you arrive with a passenger in your kit car, they will need an admission ticket - can be bought online as standalone ticket or the camping package which includes an admission ticket.
Track sessions are fairly self explanatory, we will have the slower paced sessions available next week. If you have purchased a track session and attended a drivers briefing, that gets you the wristband. That wristband will also allow you to go out as a passenger as many times as you like with no extra charge. If you are not a driver but sign on as a track passenger on the day (£5) that also allows you out as many times as you like. Exclusive sessions can only be booked via the club form, not online.
Camping - the 2 packages should be self explanatory and I may add an option for Saturday night only camping.
Hope this helps?!

I'm going to book 4-5 throughout the day, Am I right in thinking I should book the mev slot separate from the open slots.

So if me and the misses comes arriving on the Friday, me in the kit car and her in the tin top support vehicle carrying the tent and club marquee etc planning camping Friday and Saturday, taking advantage of the hot meal and drink on the Friday, that'll be £25 each. As far as track action I'm looking at go out 3 times on track, so going to book the 'Exclusive MEV Owners Track Session' at 1pm, booked through the MEV Owners Forum for £20 including registering my attendance at the event through the Club parking on the club pitch, and booking through the Castle Combe website for my other two track session 'early bird' £25 each. That just leaves me paying £5 on the day for the misses to be a passanger. So in total £125 for the two of us for the weekend camping inc meal and drink on the Friday and 3 track sessions. That'll do me I'm in. nigel
