Hi James,
This risks being a thread hijack of Stonic's build , but it does have the merit of getting it back on page 1.
Anyway, you've got what I was saying. The only thing I can add is that I sandwiched the fibreglass sides, at the bottom of the chassis with a long strip, the whole lenth of the car, of 40mm x 3mm alu bar. The rivnuts are fixed to the chassis side rails through the floor panel, then the side panels are fitted and then the Alu bar to sandwich the side panel. I've used stainless steel countersunk m6 hex bolts to compress the alu bar onto the side panel and sandwich it against the chassis. The bolts go thru the side panel on the flats at the bottom.
The Alu bar serves as protection for the edges of the side panels in case of any errant speed humps.
Good luck with your battles against the rain and wind.
Daydreamer.

Hi stonic
what exhaust manifold did you use on your st170?
std does not fit and I bought a performance manifold which is narrower but still hits the bulkhead
so just wondering what you fitted
thanks

Hi Stonic Im also building a ST170 Sonic , and i see you have used The original Gear lever and routed the lengthened cables through the front.
Im looking a doing the same, have you got some pictures of how you have mounted the gear lever and where you got the cables made , length etc.
Thanks
Howard
