Have a 2007 R1 and having trouble mounting the rear shock. Anyone with a 2007 installed, would you please send me a picture of how your shock is mounted, head, how bolted to frame, and where the shock attaches to the triangle and then frame. Anything would help at this point.

Mine is a 2007 there should be some photos of the rear end in my dropbox folder. If you have the standard 2007 swing arm triangle dog boneand rear shock you may find as I did that the back end of the chassis rests on the floor. I had to make an adjustable dog bone and use a 750lb car spring to get mine to sit at a reasonable height. this all happens because the 2007 swin arm is around 120mm longer than the earlier ones. If you need any more pictures let me know and I will get the camera out and take some for you photos here

Some close ups of how you did the wishbone would be good. Your shock mount is much different than mine. Mine still has the top stud on it with a single hole in the mount. Straight up. That makes my shock longer and may be the reason it seems to be to long. Frame painted, not good if I need to change the mount. Your pictures helped with a lot of questions I had.

Got the swing arm installed and the front end all together today. Was trying to do the rear shock backwards, starting at the top and working down was wrong. Assembled the bottom end and then the top and it all went tougher like clock work. Floor installed yesterday. Front a's and shocks in today. Spindles will get sandblasting tomarrow, and then painted, repacked and installed. I think I can get that all done in one day. Having trouble finding rims for the front. 17- 7.5- 4x108 38mm inset, spoked and black. Any suggestion?
