Well its time for an update. I'm waiting on some parts from Exomotive, so in the meantime I got to work on finishing the steering column, wiring, front fuel supply, and brackets. I created a bracket for the fuse box on the passenger side: I tried to utilize the stock fuel bracket as much as possible. I will be removing the small charcoal canister once I pass SB100: Here is the wiring tray ready to be buttoned up. I was worried about cutting unused lines off, so for now there are a lot of wires under there:

I also am a little lost with what to do with one of the charcoal canister lines. The line that has a red arrow, where does this go? I'm guessing that it would run back to the charcoal canister in the rear. If that is the case what do I do with it? And what do I do with the line at the charcoal canister in the rear? I don't want to run a line to connect the two.

Hi Steadfast, It does run back to the tank (the charcoal cannister is the black cylinder in the engine bay, bottom of your two orange arrows). There is a pretty good guide on the removal process here (very straight forward, you just need to make sure to block off where it connects to the engine intake): www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15120&hl=\charcoal+canister\NOTE: The guide is connecting the vent line from the tank to the connector on the subframe at the end.... you don't need to do this, because you can block off/redirect it at the tank end.

It is a over board vent line that is attached to a hard line secured to the front rail....

Any chance you can post a pic of what it looks like in the wiring tray with the cover off? I understand there are a lot of wires, etc. in there now, but am curious to see how you arranged everything that had to fit.
Thanks in advance !!

I'm waiting on some parts from Exomotive What do you find yourself needing after the fact? I ordered a new exhaust and brake/clutch line kitI didn't want to have to have an exhaust made so I bought one for an exocet. As for the brake and clutch line, I wasn't happy with the hard lines as they looked crooked no matter how hard I tried to make them straight.

I'll admite though, I'm a little self concious of all the wires in there! I didn't want to worry about cutting lines, so I kept everything and stuffed it into the wiring tray. Once up and running I will go back and clean it up one at a time making sure it doesn't have any illeffect.

Exhaust: I've looked at the MEV and Exomotive guides and haven't found any info about it. Does the stock miata exhaust fit, or is fabrication mandatory? Lines: I like the idea of hard lines and I like cheap. However, I'm gonna be spending $130ish on steel braided clutch and brake lines already. And that's hardline to caliper lines. So it's "only" $200 more for the kit that includes the lines that go the length of the car, right? Is this the part you're unhappy with? Cos it looks pretty good to me: imageshack.com/i/n551cvj

Cos it looks pretty good to me: imageshack.com/i/n551cvjIt wasn't the lines running under the car, it was routing then in the engine bay to the master cylinder. I guess I could have spent more time making them perect, but for an extra $200 I can have stainless lines from caliper to the brake master, as well as clutch line.
