Charcoal canister on the roll over vent that might work. Did you block off the roll over vent? Check the direction that you mounted the fill neck you have. You need to see if the fuel came up the filler line or the vent line.

I'm trying to remember, but I'm pretty sure I blocked off the roll over vent. As for checking to see if it is coming from the filler line or the vent line, I assume I have to start the car and watch the lines for this to happen again?

When you all have it figured out, can you provide details on "how to" so that a new builder like myself can learn from your experience?

Robert SteadFast and I both are using 99-00 donor cars that have the fuel system that does not have the fuel return line from the engine. This makes the plumbing a bit harder to reconfigure from the emissions junk.

Fixed both the gas tank and the fenders today. For the gas tank I replaced the old filler hose with new. This new one is much more flexible than the previous one. I also replaced the old filler neck/cap with a non vented one from Perko. You can also see the trunk mount bracket on the bottom left. I also had the roll over valve complete blocked, so I removed the caps that I had put on (like an idot) and added a canister: As for the fenders I removed all the adhesive and bolted them to the fender stays with 1/2 inch rubber clamps (don't mind the dirty fenders): I feel much safer with the new fender setup, and tested it out on the highway around 85mph and they were solid as a rock. On top of that I can remove them really easily if needed. For those wondering I used 1/4x20 (3/4inch in length) hex screws with a metal/rubber washer on the finished fender side and nyloc nuts on the bottom. Works like a charm. I plan to add finishing trim to the holes I drilled for the fender stays to pass through the fenders. I need to get new trim as the one provided by Exomotive doesn't have have a wide enough gap without damaging the fiberglass/gel goat. I am guessing that the new bodywork is thicker than the prior gen.

Is that canister on top of your fuel tank a marine air/oil separator?

I had a box of canisters I bought off ebay. I could be wrong, but I think it may have come from a land rover. It was listed as a charcoal canister. Also I added some heat shield/sound deadening material to the underside of the hood. It was really close in some cases to touching the motor. I added this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PILLZG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#productDetails which is good to 2000 degs. It also eliminated the hood from vibrating while at idle.

Just to be clear, you replaced the large OEM canister from under the car with this small one off eBay? Do you still have the small OEM one in the front of the car?
