Bit of an update but no photos yet. Just been tinkering with the wiring and plumbing last few months. Kids off school, holidays, usual excuses.........another problem is keep changing my mind, so not gonna try and rush it now. Persevered with busa loom and ECU. Now officially spent more time on wiring than rest of build so far. Took out injector connection and moved to front. Stripped out maybe seven, eight wires from ECU that you don't really need. Fitted gipro got cheap. Instead of wiring to GPS, wired direct to ECU. Checked voltage, N - neutral map, 1-6 - 5th gear map - all OK
Have plumbed engine, headed tank and rad up. Have used polo rad for now which has same mounting points as radtec. Used pug rad therm switch as it had decent on off temps but also fitting manual override which will also power fan on oil cooler. After bit of research fitted take off for eng temp off top hose. Still concerned about running temp even if fit Ali rad, so Started looking into supplementary pump and gutting busa thermo. Think maybe something like merc Bosch one would be OK without need for controller. Would also be able to run it on a timer after turning engine off....something for a later date I think. Got inj and lift pumps and also reg that runs at 3 bar and has built in filter (cheers jaime vortx) got all fuel lines so just need swirl pot now. Fitted z cars baffle, also bought oil, plugs, coolant. Might get it started up next few weeks

swirl pot arrived and very pleased. only emailed him a rough idea of what I wanted and its spot on. not started it up yet as ive changed my mind on plumbing and cooler. Decided to run additional pump on water. Never 100% sure on running just busa mechanical pump...... This means I've gutted busa thermostat. will run fused supply off accessories on ignition so I can leave pump running after shutting engine off and cool it down the proper way. Will now have a constant flow of coolant which is not dictated by engine rpm's. Not gone for electric 'always breaks' controller or massive DC pump but instead using a secondary pump. nice and compact and good starting point for running correct amount without being controlled. Oil cooler, well I'm not having a flat panel one. Decided to take a some what experimental route and run a laminova. Hence another reason why I'm going to run a pump. This does mean ill need a bigger rad to get water temp back down. So the polo rad is going and alloy twin core in its place. Idea is, oil will reach temp quicker and hopefully stay constant 15 degree ish below water temp - exactly the temp I want it at and far better for engine. Also means it can run down side of coolant pipe keeping it out way and closer to oil feeds. I am confident it will work well but to be on safe side I'm running oil temp/pressure gauge to monitor.
Few photos as of last week,
SOME BITS OF WIRING
ALI PLATE FOR REG/REC
ANOTHER ALI PANEL, STARTER SOLENOID AND REVERSE SOLENOID. ALI PANEL CANT GO ALL WAY ON THIS SIDE, EXHAUST CLEARANCE.
MORE BITS OF WIRE, ROUGHLY IN PLACE - GONE BIT DIFFERENT ROUTE TO RTR.
STILL THINK I CAN GET IT A BIT LOWER TO CLEAR DRIVEWAY
MORE BITS OF WIRING AND SOME SEATS WITH PADS TAPED ON
BATTERY UNDER RACK

Don't think it would be big enough/right type if I were keeping electric reverse. But seeing as that dead weight stupid expensive thing will be removed/fall off after IVA hopefully should be all good.

Had hour in the garage before school run. Went to start, nothing. Wouldnt even turn over. Worrying thoughts start surfacing about electrics. Pulled an awful lot from original loom, not to mention the multiple wires ive pulled from ecu. Changed position of multi connector.Gipro direct to ecu. Crank sensor, etc etc etc - Dreading the mutimeter task that awaits - SBD loom beckons.........
Sat down, had a smoke, hopefully just immobilised. Checked ign resistor - OK. Checked kick - OK. Checked clutch switch - hadn't connected earth. Dobbed that in, turned and fired.
SHES ALIVE.............
