Okay, as this appears to have no involvement regarding MEV organisation... Where are we meeting? do we have a (dare is say), Club stand? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7_Ps_(military_adage)Is there a location for us to reside in? am I aiming to park with other exo cars? Thanks to Paul so far for trying to sort bits out, and the weather reports show 18-20 degrees.. should be a good day! Maybe the event organiser has somewhere set aside? It is true to say that MEV Ltd will not be present, we are booked for car hire in Croydon. Road Track Race will be present I believe. Parking of MEV cars together will come naturally. You will spot the others and park together, organised or not, MEV's are not all exo cars though as mentioned in your next post. Have great time everyone, sorry I cannot join you.

There is a car park for kit cars only, but I only hope its organised. Im not leaving mine out of site lol.. As stated before, for some reason the forum has not sorted anything at all out, if this was known to be the case, then im sure a few of us would have organised it. Too late now. Is this a complaint?

Mmm.. If the event wasnt going to have an organiser(MEV forum person), and we had communicated this earlier on, then a nominated/volunteer could have sorted a club space for the MEV owners. So, no, not a complaint. But, a lesson. It seemed strange how some meets are almost a year in advance, or months, then.. Not one. Seems almost like a boycott. Next year, the mistake won't be made. If club space is not to be organised by MEV/RTR then surely, we can contact the event organiser, and sort an area out. Just seems unprofessional to turn up on the day, expecting an area for your club, and trying to park together. Assumption is the mother of all fu6k up's...

Nice work by RTR and Paul, great show, and some absolute awesome jaw dropping vehicles from a nice variety of manufacturers!
Lots of nice rockets, tr1ke, Mevabusa etc. there was a nice shop front! Sadly no Exocets.
I personally had a great day, and I'm soo tired after a day of lunacy.. And scaring RTR's potential customers to bits... Got a little broadside on the pit straight, poor driving skills!
Brakes, turn in, apex, under steer, slight lift off, and around she went. A good 75 odd degrees. A little counter and touch of power, and she straightened right up.
Suspension is now set to 4 clicks off top setting. Stock ebc pads. Cornering is immense. I'm probably extracting 1/10th of its potential.
Great track, great day, and would make an awesome MEV track session. Maybe I'm future we can get a session tagged onto an existing track day. !
240 miles round trip.. Makes my car 400 miles old. Time to up the rpm limit!!
Videos to follow!

It was bumpy.. And freshly carpet bombed lol.
On the way back, I hit the m62 where the mining subsidence was, and with the suspension set hard (travelling at legal speeds), took off. Ouch!

Today was an epic day with great weather and lots of track time. I would like to thank young Harry (RTR) and my nephew Sam for replacing a burst coolant hose behind the header pipes that was too awkward for me to get at. If it wasn't for them my day would of ended early, but after replacing all the coolant that covered my tR1ke rear tyre, which incidentally is very bad for grip as I discovered turning into a corner and ended up doing a quick 360 degree spin, this was with Andy (wonderbadger) as a first time passenger in a tR1ke. He did get another go as soon as it was fixed along with quite a few others. I also saw Steve's turbo rocket for the first time, the exhaust and intercooler pipe work looks even bigger in the flesh...CRAZY car, I love it

Enjoyed my day out at Blyton, great weather, good track and it was good to meet some of the guys off here. Thanks especially to Kev for demonstrating on the first run how flickable the tR1ke is and just how quickly it can turn The second outing really did show how much fun the tR1ke is so hopefully if all goes to plan I'll be joining the Mev owning ranks next year. Hope Steve and passenger got home without eating too many insects on the M62! On the way home I went a random cross-country route and found a very strange thing, a road in Norfolk with corners worthy of a kitcar, so at least I now have somewhere to play that's relatively local

Good day yesterday, even though I was only there an hour or so.
Not as young as I used to be so an 8 hour round trip knackered me out.
Any way nice to eventually meet a few other MEV owners.
Steve, your car is mental but I loved it and it sounds immense Unfortunately as I only had my fone with me for video only got a couple of short clip's, one of your Take Offs and another one of you coming by the spectator mound.
Another short clip, caught Steve coming back in off a lap but got some footage of the Mevabusa taking off and coming back round, again sounds awesome.

To reiterate my post in general chat (I think I need to spend some more time learning where everything is on the forum!) thanks again to Kevin ( slugshot) for taking me round the track in the TR1ke. It really is incredible... Now just to persuade Paul of the advertising power of having an employee using one of our vehicles as a daily driver... Company car/TR1ke do we reckon?! I hope that you all had as good a day as I did! It was nice to see those of you who were there, I thought it was great to see what you guys have done with your cars and as always, great to see them being used as intended!
Harry

Anyone have a guess at numbers, roughly how many potential customers divided between all the demo cars? Were they offered lots of choices of hot laps regardless if they were interested in buying a kit or not? Or was it down to the manufacturers to use their data base to attract potential purchasers? Is it a show or just a kit based track day? Were the spectators predominately made up of friends of those demoing? What do you consider a fair price to pay for 2 hot laps, £5? Would it help appear more balanced if a set fee was agreed and charged for all demo rides? Either way it appeared to be a great success, missed that one so feedback would be appreciated.
