Hey Matt, yeah the wing I was very lucky with, when I noticed it one side had pulled all 4 rivnuts clean out and the other side wasn't far behind. The power commander is a Protuner which came with the kit in the box. I haven't messed with this at all to date, it's as it was when returned from it's IVA. Which I'm led to believe is strangled somewhat to get the emissions down. I've since removed the catalytic converter though and the busa is already very quick in this setup. The exhaust makes some very cool pops and fart noises and I'm told even spits blue flames when driven real hard. I'm itching to have it rolling roaded and the map setup properly but reluctant at the same time. I don't want the busa's power to get to a level where it upsets the balance between it's power and my driving talent. Maybe after a track day when I can see what the busa will really do and what I cannot. I'm very interested to hear from anybody that has remapped one, to hear the difference between strangled and unleashed. Or maybe I should just go for it and be the guinea pig.

POWER... As I say to the missus.. Suck it and see.. Ha ha I'm usually the same but after putting it in the expletive deleted on my second run out in it, I'm a little cautious with it now. Although the wheel geometry was all over the place at the time, it never got done as I was promised/believed I'd paid for.

My phrase, to sum it up..
"Just because you have the sharpest knife in the world, doesn't mean you have to cut yourself with it. "
I like having a vehicle that's placid, smooth when I need it, drive able, and forgiving.. Then take your face off when I require it.
The power commander thingy will enable most of this, any flat spots, hesitation should go.. Economy may improve. Oh.. And power too.

Hi Direnzas never that price, ebay seller must be out of stock or something - sure less than £200. The Radtec linked is what I was going to change to. You'll have to let me know how it peforms if you opt for that one. Sure it will be a huge improvement on stock busa.

I'm very interested to hear from anybody that has remapped one, to hear the difference between strangled and unleashed. Or maybe I should just go for it and be the guinea pig. Iv'e not driven a mevabusa but have driven a 7 with the busa motor both before and after getting it re mapped. It was far better once re mapped, the response at lower rpm made it easier to drive and less jerky if that makes sense. As for the cooling have you still got the rtr mesh grill on the front, if you have I would cut it out and use a more open type. My tR1ke runs 20 deg cooler with 11mm mesh. I would of thought the mevabusa with its non restrictive front end would be able to cope far better than the hayabusa with its front wheel forks and motor obstructing the airflow, but a bigger rad can be part taped up if it doesn't get upto temp, this is what I do with the std r1 rad.

Matt, not a problem, I'll keep this thread up to date with any new findings. I like the radtec one as they'll supply it with 25mm fixings.
Slugshot, that's a good thought on the mesh, it is still the rtr mesh at the minute. With the new rad being a fair bit larger than the std busa one, I think I'll just leave it to start with and see how it goes. Hearing your thoughts on the drivability of the busa after a map, I think I'dd definitely look into getting mine done now. It can be a pit of a pig to pull away, especially if you haven't driven it for a while and lost the knack.

Wasn't too bad at all really, 314 including postage and packing, this also includes the additional bleed pipe. We had to phone them though to sort out the specifics of the order. Oh I'd totally forgotten about Donington, I have my heart set on doing a track day at croft on the 29th, I guess once I've everything packed up I could continue on down. I cannot commit to anything at the minute for definite because of work issues but here's hoping.
