Just remember to measure once, then measure again, and again and again when fitting the wings! Dont know what method your thinking of but i tigersealed and then fibreglassed mine to the stays and they are solid. I used a length of rubber trim for the space between the stay and the tyre and the wing fits snug around the wheel now. Regards to the seats-theres a company i know of who supply some rather tasty looking carbon seats who could do a nice contrasting yellow on them to match your car!-Haha!-Check us out- www.sweetridescustoms.comGood luck. Wayne Cheers. I'm looking for a method with a clean finish (i.e no bolts/screws through the wings) while having 100% confidence they will not detach. I was trying to decide whether to bond a tube and make them removable but I can't picture a scenario when I would need to remove them. I like the idea of fiberglass combined with bonding, so will do that. Do people recommend removing the powder coat from the surface to be bonded? I seem to remember reading about a failure where the powder coat broke away. Will defo note your services for the future.

I bonded tubes so used fibreglass however when looking into what stuck to powder I found that not a lot does, at least not really well compared to other materials.
Personally I would remove the powder, the bare metal will be protected by the adhesive anyway.

nice build, sorry to say that the side repeaters need to be further out for IVA. Plastic tubes? Is it possible to mod the radiator mounts to angel the rad? At the moment it directs air at the bulkhead which will not flow too well. The radiator looks like the 1.6 Focus one. I used this rad on the prototype 1.6 engined Rocket but angled it to allow air to find the bonnet vent easily.Looks like you will be on the road very soon.

Had seen loads of repeaters in this location so didn't think to check. No problem to sort. Have to unfortunately take that area apart when I fit the mirrors anyway. Re. rad, yep easy to change. Once again copied a few other builds where they extended the bottom mounts. I hope to be done soon however having made 2 kids since starting the build, garage time is sparse at the moment. I had the same problem with mine, failed on IVA. The examiner needs to be able to see them from 3 meters back from the rear of the car and 5 degrees out (I believe) - check the IVA manual. It's a stupid rule as they can see the rear indicator from that position anyway.

"stupid rule". 2. 5 degrees. 5 deg right down to the floor too which is why they need moving out. Stupid reasons for the requirement; 1. So you can clout pedestrians with them ! 2. Because the view of them from behind is otherwise blocked by the rear arches if you were laying on the floor.

Chiming in here, I have repeaters on my wing mirrors, and I wondered if they'd do, apparently not. Still not sure if fitting the Focus ones to the widest part of my bonnet would have done the trick either, moot point now, as the mirrors are in the way :\
