For a year. I only put in some rough figures, going to give them a call tomorrow to discuss it in a bit more in detail as im hoping to get it insured now even though im not looking to IVA it until around March. I'll report back tomorrow on my findings.

You are not allowed to drive whilst on a mobile phone in the UK.....if you do and get caught you get 3 points. Obviously these have to be declared when getting insurance otherwise the policy could be invalidated. Ah so it was a declaration of being naughty. Also not allowed in NZ either.

Hi, I started looking for insurance last week for my exocet 1.8 and my experience is as follows.
Adria Flux. Guy I spoke to was an arrogant, pushy git just trying to get as much out of me as possible. Quoted £330. pah!
Sureterm. Wouldn't even quote me and wouldn't explain why ?#$
Need to Insure. Initially positive, friendly guy but ultimately wasn't in a hurry to get back to me with a quote. I felt like he couldn't really be that bothered.
Ended up going with B.Bloor who were brilliant from start to finish and by far the cheapest. Fully comp and covered me driving to IVA for £196 with £100 excess. Speak to Kate.
Hope this helps. thanks P.

Just insured my exocet turbo with footman james, it's insured on the chassis number for upto 28 days, however they will extend it longer if I can prove that the registration is out of my hands, ie waiting for the DVLA.
Fully comp 12 month policy, £50 excess, Legal cover 3000 miles Agreed £7000 value
£145
Also tried Adrian flux which was £311 and blackford bloor which was £264

£670 - Adrian flux, only company that would insure me. Unfortunately had a lorry go into my daily car 4 days ago, writing it off. Got my reg plate for the Exocet through the post 3 days ago... Accident was not my fault, but a claim is a claim in their eyes, mix that with my age (21) = expensive premium.
2000 miles, fully comp, garaged.
Couldn’t have spent 2 years building it to then be put off by a slightly higher insurance premium!
