Seriously guy's "weather permitting". Are you made of sugar? Is your skin not waterproof? Do you not have a jacket to wear? If we all let the weather determine what we get up to then we would do very little. Sunshine would be great but if it's not to be then why let it make a difference to your plans and fun?

Well, The family meeting has at last concluded. deals have been done. Arbitrators have arbitrated, facilitators have facilitated and decisions have been made.
Taking advice from Stuart on the waterproof properties of skin, and dispensing the conventional wisdom that girls are made from sugar and spice and all things nice miss mattsmev has ousted mrs mattsmev from the passenger seat and daddy and daughter are off on Sat morning for two days of fun at newark.
seriously, the weather here was supposed to be rain all day, and it has actually been very sunny with lots of wind. the weather report for Sunday is now dry all day, so I think we won't get too wet over the weekend.
I am looking forward to seeing Mabb's car, hearing the Jago owners club convoy, siting in carbon bobs van drinking hot chocolate (and meeting mrs carbon) and dancing the maccarana with Will. (he better put the effort in). I an't looking forward to the journey home neither.
If joy does turn out to be made of sugar, and she dissolves, it will mean I'l be faster at the bring em home event in August. There is always an up side
Cheers
Mattsmev

Agreed, I would really like to be there in my rocket, it's 180 miles for me and looking like there will definitely be some rain. I'm pretty sure my electrics would play up. Hope everyone has a great time
Regards Jim

Andy
There is a moggers area for us, usually out the front of the main hall,
Head in the main gate, straight on a couple of blocks then right and you should see the stand,

What an absolute waste of time! A really terrible turn out for all makes of cars, 4 moggers in the mev area, Hardly any stands to get parts from, just terrible. Hope if anyone is going on sunday that the weathers better and that theres some decent cars for you to look at! Good Luck!

Not the best way to sepend a day, drove up from Dorset, just shy of 500miles in my normal car to meet fellow moggers and do some serious shopping.
The weather was sh*te and i take my hat off to those who did risk the weather and turn up. Understandablly a very poor turn out from all kit car owners but who blames them!
Still, had a quick chat with Stuart and Julie, tyre kicked the Exocets there to help me on my next stage of my build, and most importantly got a great deal from Europa for my 'bits and bobs' (all £600 worth!) to hopefully see me through to the end of the build.
Onwards and upwards....

Re- the last but one post that seems very unfair to say what a waste of time, people put a lot of effort into organising these events and at the end of the day are at the mercy of the great british weather. Of course it will have a impact on cars on show and other things, who want's to take there proud and joy out in pouring rain, i was going down in the rocket tomorrow but are now going down by car but hat's off to the brave one's who have gone in there cars. If we don't support these events they will dissapear and if the weather had been fine i'm sure you could have probably doubled the car numbers
