Right, I don't want to put a damper on things, but I have had to do a lot of design mode to fit my d2 seats which look very similar. Pm me sizes, width of the bucket and the shoulders.

I've had a similar issue with my now sold Cobra Monaco wides. They looked sweet, but no where to fit the tunnel or seatbelts Now I'm using caterham rs500 copies . Very comfy and sculpted even though there's no padding.

Width was a worry, the seats were my second choice, earlier my first choice until I saw a Racetech RTSaker.
However as the seats were 'as new' and cost me around 40% of new I took a punt, the Saker's would have been a similar price to the new on these and probably been a little short which might have meant a modification fee on top.
I reckon I can do a madeye and sell them on without loss if I find they don't quite work, but I figured a set like that would not appear at the price again in a hurry so grabbed whilst I could.
Wouldn't want them to be any smaller in size, the set I got are large, the importer claims they suit the New Zealand build better than the size below. I am less than 85kgs and they are snug on me. I know Japanese folks are of a smaller frame than European but I was was worried they might be too roomy at large - not so, real nice fit.
The measurements at the widest point at the bottom is 508mm and 585mm at the shoulders according to the blurb.

Well fellow Rocketeers just before Christmas I received the biggest Christmas present I have every seen, so big it would not fit under the tree then before I could play with it I was hauled away for a couple of weeks of sunshine sea and beaches..... that reminds me, I must update the thread about how cold is your garage......
From the RTR website -
"Our kit in a box packages quite simply contain every single component including nuts, bolts, pipes, clips, rivets etc to build a brand new MEV Rocket."
Upon returning at the weekend the first job was to check whether the above statement was true........
How can I put it uhm.... well ....... I am sure the next box will be winging it's way to NZ pretty soon, we could then play Where In The World Are Rob's Missing Bits.......

So moving on time to post a few pics of the build progress, I took this afternoon off and got stuck in to the fun bit. So Chassis on stands - As I opted to have the chassis uncoated in order to do a few welding mods that will need to be done I will be building almost to completion and then stripping - so just to carry this theme on I decided today to do a pre-build pre-build, I fitted the suspension loose without bushes, and popped on the pedal box and steering column just to get a feel for it....... well to be truthful I just WANTED TO PUT SOMETHING TOGETHER. Now some of you more eagle eyed folks may just spot a few oddities in there, to save you squinting and enlarging the photos let's take a closer look. No I didn't get bored, no prize for guessing the first missing bits - drag links and tie rods. Whilst on this theme lets look closer at the back as well. No I didn't fit the wrong adjusters to the upper wishbone, I only received four from six and all four were long ones. Due to the tight fit of the bushes I have left these out, they wont be fitted until everything is coated, however the plan is to make a set of temporary bushes over the weekend, like I said earlier I just had to put something together. Also non of the nyloks have been tightened as they should not be re-used so I will grab a pile of plain nuts for the time being.

Apart from the missing parts I encountered a couple of issues with the uprights. I ended up with two sleeves spare and what are the two large washers used for? I have found the only place to fit them is between the axle and upright but that offers no advantage in terms of assembly. Has anyone else found these cap screws too long? They are screwed all the way home but still don't bottom out!

If memory serves me right, the washers are for the stub axles. I'm sure there is a seperate guide for the uprights on here.. I'll see if I can find it later. As Paul said, the bolts are long as they have to go through the wing stays also.

The upright guide is in the tech section under the steering and chasis heading. There is a link halfway down the thread to a build guide.
Hope this helps.

I've just taken some pics of mine fitted I'll upload in a bit. ALL of those tophats are different internal diameters, Adjusters, there should be 4, then 2 rs 2000 track ends for steering and 2 ends for the upper wish ones. Taken pics of these too, and the boxes for the ends as i had a nightmare getting them

Nothing had been tightened more than hand tight for these very reasons.

No lock nuts on mine either but that is one thing that was supplied, however my suspension will all be off over the weekend as I am going to make up the temporary bushes so I can pre-build the suspension properly.
I have seen the effort it takes to get the supplied bushes in, I dread to think how I would get them out when it is time to powder coat.
Thanks for the offer to source parts but I have paid for everything and I am GOING to get everything I have paid for.
Have just come off the phone to Robert "but the only one who can help is Paul and he is away at the show".
To be honest I am not angry, no one has died, I am just bemused. I got a comprehensive list of everything that was supposed to be included and around 20% was missing.
How hard can it be to check the bits into the packing crate when you have a list? I could have understood it if it was some small odd item that had been overlooked but I am missing major parts.
There may be a good reason and a plan but I have heard nothing, but if I learnt one thing from five years of paragliding and that was patience, well patience and the fact the ground is harder than my spine.
