How high are the rear upper seat holes for the 4 point belts? Judging by the fact you have runners fitted, make sure your belts flow downward and not stretch upward to come through, or its an MSVA fail.

Basically, the only thing I can do now is chosing the accessoiries, making a shopping list and rethinking others builds (do's and don'ts) and cross my fingers I can make a nice Tr1ke as you guys do. I like to read the Rocket forum as well. Great ideas which look great on a Tr1ke as well. Good luck! Erik

I see you went for the all in one lamps, they look sweet, not sure how they will get on at MSVA with the indicators, they seem rather anal for indicators, so might be worth borrowing a pair, infact I have a pair of standard bulb mini indicators you are welcome to, they are brand new, and I never fitted them in the end, I opted for the Oxford LED's.
I know the VW Gold has integrated indicators in the headlamps, but they are crap when coming towards you at night, you really cannot see them flashing.

I am looking forward to Slungshot's comment on this. Perhaps he may open his garage for us at night and make a good observation for us. I am very keen on these headlights because of the looks, but they are IVA approved as well.

Love the headlights! If my budget accepts it I think I will purchase a pair of them maybe...
Aren't you afraid of possible damage to the brakelines? They seem a little exposed to debris this way...

hi nick, i here what your saying regards the indicators they're as hard to see as the golfs, but they are supposed to be Iva ok. I raised them up with alloy spacers to make them more visible over the wheels, once i have finished doing things from the under side ill take it outside and see if i can see them from the angle quoted in the vosa bible. I do hope they are ok though not just because of the cost but the d**n things took a full day of serious head scratching to get them to do all the functions correctly with the r1 switch gear, not the lights fault just me im crap at electrics. As for the brake lines, if they are ok for the msva and i don't have to move them, they can stay were they are, idon't plan to go off road with it, anyway iv'e always got the hand brake haven't i.

Its been a busy week for me doing the last few jobs on my kit. the most stress full was getting the tunnel to fit over everything. I took it for a quick spin this morning to make sure it all works ok and to calibrate the speedo healer. the only issue i had was setting off without stalling or spinning the rear tyre, I think i will change the cable pivot point on the clutch peddle to try and get more peddle movement, like on a car to give it a bit more control. similar theory as vtR1ke has with the hand brake. now mine is on the floor and finished and at full weight i tried my hand brake, I bought a golf hand brake lever the same as erik put a link to on ebay. Its quite neat and simple with no cable just a flat bar coming out the back to connect the brake cable too. their is no resistance when you pull the lever just the clicking on the ratchet but it must have a different lever ratio to the ford one because it works very good. It even locked the wheel at 10mph when bedding in the pads. the only worry is will my soldered nipples pull off. I took some pics outside with the headlights on and you can see the indicators even stood at the side, the lens is convex so the light reflects off it,so fingers crossed for the test. I'm taking it to rtr on monday eve for them to put through the msva so i will have nothing to do on the evenings so ill put some pics on. cheers kev.
