No its correct,
You will need to make a number of different sized spacers for allsorts. From my build I made the following: 4 spacers for the caliper to sit correctly on the mounts, I suspect the Wilwood caliper billet was made exactly right, but Hi-Spec brakes look much nicer and are lighter, so you need to just turn 4 spacers on a lathe.
1 x Spacer for the bolt for the swingarm to step away from the frame.
These are the main ones I can remember, all the other spacers I made were for my particular setup.
You have to remember its a Kit Car, there will be a certain amount of fabrication needed on your part to make 1 off brackets for things like Headlights if not conventional, radiator brackets, hand brake brackets, hose brackets, rear handbrake caliper bracket, brackets for the horns, fluid pot or pots, I made a number of specialist brackets with just some mild steel, a vice, a hammer and an Angle grinder, powder coated them, they all look like new.

ok no worries, i will make my self some brackets, just confused, RTR promots High spec as the best kit, why not make them fit, from the get go. since those sems to be the brakes that they promot the hardest. Or offer diffrent types of brackets from the get go, one for high specs, and one for others.
I have acces to a lathing machine so i will make them in a giffy. but i would look nicer with a homogen mounting from the start.
thanksfor your quick answer.
the build continous

I understand and agree your point. Also for me the English logic is not always clear.

Test fitted the engine today, was a bit heavy but me and a friend did it in about 40min. lifting and putting tyres under it. the mounts fitted perfectly.

Sorry Venom, dident answer your question about color. satin black powder coated frame and wishbones and floor. Red bonnet, seats and black wings. erlier i wrote handbrake orderd, what i ment was. high spec handbrake calipper orderd from RTR. Went for hella headlights, not the best looking, but they got both fullbeam and parkinglight as well as halflight. first i wanted the same light as Venom uses but they would never pass SVA in Sweden.

It makes me laugh that they are so mental on SVA and speed when Sweden produce the Koenigsegg :-)

I was just reconsidering to order a highspec handbrake caliper for the rear brake disc but reread the dutch leglisation and the caliper isn't specified to be on the rear wheel. It just has to be on one of 3 shafts. For now I am leaning towards single front wheel handbrake caliper until RTR claims it won't pass SVA. Hispec has nice integrated versions. have a look at this Rocket: www.mevowners.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rocket&action=display&thread=563&page=5I am leaning towards E-approved parts as well. There is still many cool stuff to chose from! nice progress! Erik

There is tons of E approved cool stuff, all my lights are E approved, I am surprised the headlights wont pass? They will in the UK, they are not sharp at all. My rear all in one clusters were fitted purely to pass MSVA, but I quite like them now, I do have some sleek all in one LED strips mounted under the brackets for my clusters, but not sure if I will go back to them or not.
I fitted 2 x 55W dip, 2 x 100W Main Beam (Relay struggles with 100W) so back to 55W I think, plus I drilled the lenses for 2 x LED side lights so all the lights up front are neat, the indicators are Oxford Jupiters, Oxford make a good bright E approved range.

Erik Yeah I looked at those too at HiSpec, wasn't sure how I would manage to get the handbrake to work with a cable coming in from the front, so I stuck to a conventional setup. I do think 2 brakes is a much better option if you can make it work with the tight centre tunnel you are working with.

Yeah, routing the cable would be . I guess it cancelles out placing the handbrake in the centre tunnel unless one mounts it with the grip to the rear. I wasn't planning to place the handbrake in the tunnel anyway because I suspect the location to be too far to reach if one is standing besides the car. I am not sure if it is worth the effort as well. but if one handbrake caliper on a front weel is legal it might be a very simple solution to fix properly.

Rising the central tunnel by 2,5 cm and spreading the tunnel supplied with the kit did the job for me.
