Having not yet sat in any of the MEV stable yet, I'm just interested to find out why most folks go for the F1 / stalk style wing mirrors? Is it for the look, rubbish pun definitely intended, or is the view restricted for a more flush mounting mirror? www.wingmirrorman.co.uk/ADP583.jpgMirror off a mini (BMW type, not proper mini-type). Would that work? And I do apologise for the anal questions, the devil's in the detail for me. Cheers, Rich

Cheers, Rich Both reasons, if you look into the IVA regulations on viewing angles you'll find that you will probably need to use a long reach (non flush) to comply. key things to consider when choosing:- 1 Rear vision (especially past drivers arm/shoulder and over rear wheel arch) 2 Ensure type of mirror is IVA compliant (no sharp corners etc) Style is very much something akin to the builders personal taste. On my Sonic I'm using a set of Yamaha YFZ-R1 07> cost about £50 on ebay easy fit modern styling fully IVA compliant and give the driver great vision. nigel

Just rebattered my head and readf the IVA regulations. BUT, I like note 2 in the measurement and testing bit... Sundry items? Like a shopping trolley? Dog's head hanging out the side? Half the engine? I love the fact that half the IVA stuff is wooly at best, and down to personal interpretation at worst. Hey ho, suppose once we get around to mirrors... we can at least do some emprical testing
